I guess it comes down to whether you value the online for the games that support it or just wanna be able to take it with you wherever you go. Also, I hate the PS4 controller with a passion, so there’s that too. Whiffs galore only to be punished badly, and even when I hit them perfect I just got nailed with an Alpha counter! □□□Īnyway, for what it’s worth I went with the Switch version because only Alpha 3 is online and I have no desire to get murdered in 3rd Strike. But because it’s an arcade port, Alpha 2 quite noticeably does the whole input read and reaction thing, and I found the more frustrated I got the less precise my inputs got. I found 3rd Strike the most forgiving and Alpha 2 the least. I played World Warrior, Hyper Fighting, Alpha 2, and 3rd Strike. Whiffs everywhere! But then I’ve always had trouble in that game, even with the Saturn controller. I’ve been a bit spoiled by how forgiving Ultra Street Fighter II is in terms of input, so going back to Alpha 2 was a shock. To answer your comments about responsiveness, I’ve found it varies on the game.
